The patch is held comfortably with 7mm wide quality elastic. The elastic is 40cm long and easily stretches to twice its length. It is also latex-free. The patch has a black lining and will exclude most light, but total light exclusion cannot be guaranteed. When worn, they should entirely cover the eye and socket. The stiffened-fabric core keeps its shape after washing, unlike most eye patches that have cardboard stiffening.
